    Welcome to the 2016 CLA Forum.  A new approach to conference and big thinking about libraries.

    CLA President Sandra Singh opens this year’s conference with a welcoming address and public acknowledgement of CLA Award recipients.

    2016 CLA Outstanding Service to Librarianship Award is being presented to two worthy recipients, Rebecca Jones and Alvin Schrader.

    2016 Alan MacDonald Mentorship Award is presented to Sara Gillis

    2016 Award for the Advancement of Intellectual Freedom in Canada presented to Richard Beaudry and Gail Chaddock-Costello

    The Edmonton Public Library’s project Capital City Records: Edmonton Local Music has been named 2016 recipient of the CLA/OCLC Award for Innovative Technology. This award will be presented on June 2nd at the Innovation in Technology Session.

    Keynote Presentation by Chief Wilton Littlechild

    CLA is honoured to welcome keynote speaker, Chief Wilton (Willie) Littlechild, Commissioner of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.  A strong advocate for the rights of Indigenous Peoples and witness to the impacts of the Residential School system, Chief Littlechild will share his perspective on the path to reconciliation.
